Single Fund for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities
We have established the “Single Fund for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities” (Fondo unico per l’inclusione delle persone con disabilità) to manage resources more effectively and to finance calls for proposals and projects aimed at persons with disabilities, involving public institutions, the Third Sector, and local authorities.
Since its creation in 2024, the Single Fund has reached a record allocation of 2.4 billion euros, marking the largest investment ever designated for the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
The resources of the Single Fund support a wide range of initiatives and projects, including: accessible tourism, employment and sports inclusion, social and recreational activities, assistance services for autonomy and communication for students with disabilities, school transport, initiatives dedicated to individuals with neurodevelopmental and autism spectrum disorders, measures recognizing the social and economic value of informal family caregiving, the inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, and other projects.
